2014 Asia Global Land Project Conference
Dear Colleague:
The 2014 Asia Global Land Project (GLP) Conference will be held on September 24-26, 2014 in Taipei, Taiwan. The conference will provide a multidisciplinary platform for environmental scientists, engineers, and management professionals to discuss the latest developments in sustainable land use and ecosystem management. We welcome the submission of session proposals and abstracts for oral/poster presentations.
The GLP Taipei Nodal Office was established in 2012 with the specific theme focusing on “Management and development of knowledge on land-use, ecosystem, and their interactions at different spatial scales”. As the Taipei GLP Nodal Office takes an important role in the GLP Science Plan, one of our important missions go to the Management of knowledge and information through International Services and Development including hosting and organizing GLP conference in Asia so as to:
1. Present the research findings by the members of Taipei GLP Nodal Office and other GLP associated researchers.
2. Sharing the up-to-date knowledge and information related to land-use change and land management among participants.
3. Enhance scientific exchange between GLP regional and international partners.
The excellent papers in this conference will be selected into the special issue in two SCI journals, International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health and Sustainability (also SSCI journal); one international journal, Environments; and one EI journal, Taiwan Water Conservancy.
To encourage research and academic participation of young researchers, Student Awards will be held for both Poster and Oral presentations for those with students as the presenters. During the conference, 3 to 5 Poster/Oral presentations of research projects demonstrating academic excellence in the related conference themes will be selected by the reviewing committees.
Please do not hesitate to showcase your achievements to key international opinion leaders. Submit your abstract today.
Deadline for submissions: Full-length Abstracts: April. 25, 2014
Full-length Papers (for those abstracts selected to the SCI & EI journals only): Aug. 25, 2014
